 Police Department

Township Police CarThe Rye Township Police Department is located in the municipal building.  However, the Police Department has a separate entrance and is addressed as:

1777 New Valley Road
Marysville, PA  17053-9419

One full-time officer serves the residents of Rye Township when on duty.  Pennsylvania State Police are the primary coverage for Rye Township.

If residents need to contact an officer for a non-emergency issue, they can call the Township Police office at 717-957-3166 or thePerry County Base Communications Center at 1-888-372-8947

Rye Township is provided police coverage during those times when the officer is not on duty by the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks in Newport (717)567-3110.

Crime Watch

The local Crime Watch cooperates with the police department in the detection and prevention of crime.  Local captains and co-captains provide signs and information to their respective neighborhoods. 

Citizens volunteer to keep well informed and report any suspicious or dangerous activities in their neighborhoods.
